
The Everlasting Story won the VI Big Children’s Festival

The full-length animated film “The Everlasting Story”, created by the Parovoz studio at the request of the Digital Television media holding, was awarded at the VI Big Children’s Festival in the category “Best Animated Movie for Children. Feature Film”. The grand closing ceremony of the festival was held on November 21.
This year, more than 600 applications from Russia and foreign countries have been submitted to participate in the festival. 78 projects from 25 regions took part in the competition program. The winners were chosen by the jury of children, which included 27 people: young actors, musicians, athletes, artists, winners of the All-Russian Academic Competitions aged 8 to 16 years from six different regions.
The Big Children’s Festival has been held since 2018 within the federal party project “Culture of the Small Motherland”, the art director of the festival is People’s Artist of Russia Sergei Bezrukov.
The competition program of the VI Big Children’s Festival included 15 nominations in such fields as “Theatre”, “Cinema”, “Animation”, “Book”, as well as special nominations: “Best Inclusive Performance”, “Theater-School” and “My Beloved Land”.

“The Everlasting Story” animated film evolved from the universe of the popular animated series “Fantasy Patrol“. According to the plot, young and strong Koschey is going to take revenge on the Ice Monster who killed his relatives. The guy faces a number of obstacles on the way to his goal, but with the help of chatty Swordy, brave circus dancer May, insightful Yaga, smart Mr. Wobbler, young witches from the “Fantasy Patrol” and other characters Koshchey manages to cope with all challenges.
“The Everlasting Story” was the highest-grossing Russian animated film in 2021, having grossed 130 million rubles in Russia and the CIS, besides, it became one of the three most popular domestic cartoons during the pandemic.
In 2022, the film was given the prestigious TEFI-KIDS in the category “Best Animated Film for Children” and was awarded at the XXVII Open Russian Animation Festival in Suzdal and three other international film festivals – Sochi Film Festival, ZILANT and White Nights Film Festival; it was also shortlisted for the National Film Award “Golden Eagle”. In addition, the cartoon took second place at the XIII Animation Forum in Cairo and was called the best feature film at the VII International Ajayu Festival in Peru.
In 2023, the cartoon was awarded in the category “Best Director’s Work” at the XVIII International Movie Festival of Family and Children’s Films “In the Family Circle”.
