The Fairies Have Grown Up: New Season Fantasy Patrol. The Road Home Premieres This September on the Moolt Channel

22.07.2025

Media holding Digital Television and animation studio Parovoz present the fifth season of the animated series Fantasy Patrol. The Road Home. The premiere will take place on September 6 on the Moolt channel.

The fairies — now older Valery, Mary, Snowy, Helena, and Alice — accidentally open a portal to a magical parallel world called Zartia. Here, one can find dark forests, ancient ruins, fantastical creatures, and principalities ruled by mysterious sovereigns. But the enchantment quickly fades: the portal through which the girls entered has closed, and now they can’t return home. The heroines must befriend the temperamental candy princess Pastilina, impress the prince of the Forest Principality at a wizard tournament, and participate in the dangerous reality show of swamp princess Tina.

Maria Parfyonova, head writer at Parovoz Studio, comments: “The fifth season is a reboot of the story that will appeal both to loyal fans and new viewers. The girls are cut off from their familiar world and must learn to rediscover themselves through new adventures. They’re now around 16 years old, more mature, but still the best of friends. Several new princes and romantic plotlines will appear. The girls will face situations where their feelings are not always mutual — there will be hints of jealousy and even rivalry. A key tone-setter for the season is the new complex character — Prince Art: handsome, magical, gallant, and a refined schemer.”

The characters themselves have evolved. For example, Helena becomes more thoughtful, Snowy grows more independent, Alice turns into a real beauty, and Mary learns to let go of control.

Irina Pevneva, art director: “The artists were tasked with making the girls look older and slightly more realistic in proportion. They are now noticeably taller, wear more detailed fantasy outfits, and even sport earrings and heels. We added more magic and sparkle — behind the girls’ skirts now trail semi-transparent glittery trains, and the princesses wear crowns.”

The new episodes are created using a hybrid of 3D and 2D animation. The show features dynamic editing, vibrant 2D inserts, and stylish animation. The season includes a brand-new score by composer Denis Davydov, featuring original songs.
