
«The Everlasting Story» film at the MIFF

The animated feature film «The Everlasting Story», created by the Parovoz studio in cooperation with the Digital Television media holding (VGTRK and Rostelecom), will be shown on August 29 at 14:00 in the Small Hall of the Movie House within the out of competition program of the 44th Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF).
The film was included in the MIFF Animation Universe program, which promises to present to the audience a diversity of contemporary animation for children and adults. The set of films for family viewing (6+) includes fables, adventure fantasy and stories about children.
This year the Moscow Film Festival will be held from August 26 to September 2. The MIFF is considered one of the oldest film festivals in the world (just the Venice Film Festival is older). The first time it was held in 1935, when it was called the “Soviet Film Festival in Moscow”.
«The Everlasting Story» was the top-grossing Russian animated film in 2021, it grossed 130 million rubles in Russia and the CIS; besides, the film became one of the top three most popular domestic cartoons during the pandemic with an audience of more than 611,000 viewers (according to the Bulletin of the Film Distributor).
The film became the winner at the XXVII Open Russian Animation Festival in Suzdal and at other three international film festivals, which are Sochi Film Festival, ZILANT and White Nights Film Festival; in addition «The Everlasting Story» was included in the shortlist of the Golden Eagle Award (Russia).
