Animated Film “Champies: The Uninvited Guest” Wins “Little Bear 3” Festival in “Best Screenplay” Category
02.06.2025
The full-length animated film “Champies: The Uninvited Guest” has won the “Best Screenplay” award (in the “Feature-Length Animation” category) at the “Little Bear 3” International Festival of Children’s, Family Films, and Animation. The festival took place in Perm from May 30 to June 1.
The film’s screenplay teaches young viewers kindness, mutual support, and the power of forgiveness. The story follows a boy named Roma, who dreams of presenting his homemade spaceship at a school competition. However, his plans are disrupted when space pirates steal his toy. The team of toy heroes must unite, show courage, and find the strength to forgive their offenders.
“In our film, we strive to show that every character has their own unique story and reasons for their actions. Our new pirate characters are not the typical villains we’re used to seeing. Behind their tough exteriors lie hearts full of pain and disappointment. This is a story about the power of forgiveness, kindness, and the willingness to lend a helping hand. The animated film teaches us to see the good in people, even when they seem to be doing wrong at first. We hope viewers will feel the warmth and light radiating from our characters and apply these lessons in their own lives,” says Maria Parfenova, the project’s screenwriter.
We congratulate the screenplay authors—Evgeny Golovin, Maria Parfenova, and Oleg Veselov—as well as the entire project team.
“Champies: The Uninvited Guest” is an animated film produced by the “Digital Television” media holding. It was released nationwide on May 29 with the support of “NMG Kinoprokat” (part of the “National Media Group” holding).
