Swordy and an episode of «Fantasy Patrol» are nominated for Ikar Award

An episode of the animated series and the character from the feature cartoon produced by the Parovoz studio by the order of the Digital Television media holding (All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company and Rostelecom) are included into the list of nominees for Ikar 2022 National Animation Award. The Fantasy Patrol episode «At the Sources of Magic» (directed by Anastasia Chernova) and Swordy from «The Everlasting Story» full-length cartoon will struggle to become winners in the nominations: The Best Episode and The Best Animated Character.

«Fantasy Patrol» is an animated series about exciting adventures of young fairies: Valery, Mary, Snowy, Helena, and Alice who appears in the second season.

The story begins in the town of Fableton where the girls become the guardians of this sanctuary place, protecting it and helping all fairy tale creatures. In the second season, Helena finds herself in the Fairy World, and her friends follow her there. In the third season new adventures of young witches of the cartoon are themed around their studies at a magical college.

The other nominee for IKar-2022 award from the Parovoz studio and the Digital Television media holding is Swordy that is Koshchey’s faithful friend and partner from the full-length animated film «The Everlasting Story».

Character Profile:

Swordy is a chatterbox, braggart, liar and coward. The talking sword of young Koshchey is afraid of becoming blunt in a fight, so he tries to avoid battles and just «smooth-talk» the enemy. The sword loves sharpen jokes, playing pranks and making up epigrams. Swordy is proud of having been sharpened for a «great mission,» though he is not sure which one exactly. He is the best and only friend of Koshchey. Swordy dreams of getting global recognition and fame.
