Russian cartoon has become number 1 box office for the first time in recent years.

According to the Russian Cinema Fund’s Analytics «The Everlasting Story» animated film leaded the box office at the last week-end. While a number of cinemas are closed and there are two serious Hollywood competitors, the film managed to gross 32.7 million rubles from Thursday to Sunday. The last time a domestic animation film topped the box office at the turn of 2015 and 2016.

We have to recall that due to the restrictions 55% of cinemas and 45% of movie halls in 54 regions are opened in Russia.
