Parovoz at Europe film market EFM−2021

European film market EFM takes place from 1 to 5 March within the annual Berlin International Film Festival. The event is held in the online mode. Parovoz studio provides its projects to the international professional association for co-production.

ROSKINO virtual pop-up booth unites 39 Russian distributors and producers of the content, including our studio. The presentation of co-production possibilities with Russia within Berlinale Co-Production Market industrial sub-forum is held in Country Session mode. It is the first time when there is also a great number of Russian projects in Berlinale Series Online Market sub-forum. The participation of the Russian content in the film market, which starts the year, is supported by Cinema Fund.

Parovoz studio presents three animation projects which are in the development stage and for which the studio looks for co-production partners. The projects are the cartoons Spaceport, Amazing café and Veggie Knights.

Spaceport

The distant future. Various creatures inhabit the Galaxy. Three unlucky fellows (a human boy, a fat alien and a sour robot) experience weird incidents in Spaceport all the time.
Our cartoon is a story about unlucky guys who have no super powers. Neither the main character nor his «team» (who are more likely his close friends) are brave or shrewd. On the other hand, they are lively. They make common human mistakes, that viewers can relate to, and then deal with consequences throughout the episode.

Amazing cafe

The cartoon describes incredible adventures of girl Agatha and her unusual friend Tommy. There is everything you need for a happy life in the cozy, small town in which Agatha lives — there are loving parents, kind neighbors and modern gadgets. But Agatha wants to have adventures! And she gets them. Agatha becomes an owner of a wonderful recipe-book «Sweet magic» and gets some magic skills. Since that, the lives of the girl and her friend (cook-robot Tommy) become full of incredible adventures. The girl, supported by sweet magic, can make each of her day happy and full of magic tricks, surprises and a variety of delicious miracles besides struggling against evil-doer signor Vittorio.

Veggie Knights

Zan, Broc and Cowley take an unusual journey the aim of which is to deliver a very valuable Magic book to a very important lord. On their way the characters have a number of incredible adventures and discoveries as well as meet mysterious creatures. Even after the book is delivered, they understand that the journey is not over and it is only their friendship that can help them to achieve the true goal.

The project is aimed for children from 8 to 12 years old. Through the unusual prism of vegetable characters we can see common situations in an unusual world. Like in real life, the characters experience various incidents when they have to struggle for the ideas which they care about and continue going towards their aim. The fable is about the importance of friendship, faith and forming values of the next generation.
