
“Parovoz” — 2024: Year in Review

The year 2024 was a milestone for “Parovoz” studio as it celebrated its 10th anniversary. The team received congratulations from Russia’s Minister of Culture, Olga Lyubimova, Moscow’s Head of the Department of Culture, Alexey Fursin, as well as representatives from Russian and international animation studios, children’s TV channels, and other partners.
Throughout the year, the “Parovoz” studio has delighted audiences with five new releases: the feature-length animated film “Fantasy Patrol: The Show Goes On” and the animated series “White Dreams”, “Seven Kingdoms”, “Musya, Chook and Stanislav. “, and “Knopa”. Additionally, new seasons of popular series such as Basik, Fantasy Patrol, Little Heroes, and Tweetville were released.

The animated series Tweetville received widespread acclaim from both professionals and general audiences, earning several prestigious awards:
- II International Festival-Competition of Short and Debut Films “CINEMA CHANCE”: Winner in the “Best Animated Work” category.
- White Nights Film Festival: Winner in the “Best Animated Series” category.
- The episode Cosmos took second place in the audience voting during the “Open Premiere” initiative at SuzdalFest.
- Awarded “Best Animated Premiere” based on audience votes in the Carousel TV channel’s Main Characters awards.
Other studio projects also achieved significant success:
- The short animated film I Want to Sleep received the Jury’s Special Prize at the Window to Europe festival, was named the Best Short Animated Film at the Literature and Cinema film festival, and was nominated for the Nika Award and several international festivals, including CINELEBU 2024 and the Ajayu International Animation Festival.
- The short animated film Beyond gained international recognition, winning the Jury’s Special Prize at the Cartoon Club Award and the award for “Best Youth Film” at the 15th Anibar International Animation Festival. It also received the Tricks for Kids award for Best Children’s Animated Film at the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS).
- The animated series White Dreams won awards at the All-Russian Festival of Children’s and Family Cinema and Animation “Bear Cub” in the categories “Best Animated Series” and “Audience Choice.” The project was also recognized with the People’s Jury Prize as the “Best Series in the 6+ Category” at the Animur festival.
The script for White Dreams, written by Andrey Zolotkov, was the 2022 winner of the nationwide Mult Pitching competition, which received nearly 400 submissions. The series is being produced by “Parovoz” studio in collaboration with the “Digital Television” media holding, supported by the Institute for Internet Development (ANO “IRI”).
The studio’s music projects also showed impressive results. The Riki Music label released the Tweetville Party album, two new albums featuring songs from the series Cats & Dogs: Sweet Songs, and the Musical Patrol: Fairy Songs project.
