
Alexander Afonasyev Presents the Film “Out there” at the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth

On October 7, director Alexander Afonasyev from the “Parovoz” studio participated in the screening of the animated film “Out there” at the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth. The event included a discussion on modern animation for children, networking sessions with filmmakers attending the festival, and an audience Q&A about the film.
The 11th Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth runs from October 4 to 12. The program features screenings of dozens of films, panel discussions, and more. A total of 98 films will be presented at the festival, including short and feature-length fiction and documentary works by creators from Arab countries, South Korea, Spain, Germany, France, and Russia.
The Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth also serves as a platform for communication and knowledge exchange among filmmakers. Throughout the week, there will be educational events, film screenings, and panel discussions on current trends in children’s animation.
The animated film “Out there“ created by the “Parovoz” studio with support from the Russian Ministry of Culture, tells the story of an unusual boy named Petya, who sees the world differently from his peers.
